Dear Mr.Toda;(トダさま)

Now the point is clear.
We both agree that the publication of a revised version is OK because the original story itself has no problem. Right?

The difference comes from the strategies we would choose.
I took a positive strategy, correcting the racist characterizations of the original book, making explicit the correction and NOT hiding the similarity between the new version and the old one.

In contrast, you prefer a kind of negative strategies, trying to avoid the association between the two versions even after having made the correction. However, as I pointed out and you admitted before, it is not possible to prevent anyone from associating them as far as the story remains the same. In this regard, it is YOU who contradict oneself.

Mr.Toda, I would like to point out one more thing.
We must evaluate the two different strategies in the long run especially in terms of their effects for attenuating the racial discrimination in the real world. I hope we also agree that our real goal is to solve the racial problem itself. I honestly tell you that your negative strategy would not be effective at all for achieving our goal and the world peace. Avoiding or hiding is always doomed to failure.

Yours sincerely,(敬具)
