Tohoku
and the Kanto region were hit by an unprecedented super-massive
earthquake and nuclear power plant accident on March 11.
We wish to express our gratitude to many overseas people who
gave to us warm words of encouragement and support. However,
because a lot of foreign country people had discontinued the
travel to Japan, a big economical influence has been indirectly
received though Yudanaka did not receive the influence directly
of the earthquake and the radioactivity. Your travel and visit
to Japan becomes the best support to the people who did not
receive influence of the earthquake like Yudanaka.
We will sincerely wait for the Japan visit of whole world
people.

Here in Yudanaka, it is a season of many fruits now.
The apple continues until December.You can enjoy very
delicious apples.
Winter sports season will start soon ( Usually it start
end of November)
Wireless network of internet began using at each room
of our inn from May, 2011. All guest is available wireless
LAN of Wi-Fi, iphon, ipad and PC.

Uotoshi Ryokan is situated in Yudanaka-Shibu
Hot Spring Resort at the foot of Shiga Heights (1998 OLYMPIC
WINTER GAMES Alpine Competition Ground). The inn is near a
natural hot spring and Hinoki-buro (a bathtub
made of Japanese cypress) is available 24 hours a day, and
Kyudo (traditional Japanese archery) can be experienced
in the afternoon. The Inn is near the Jigokudani
Monkey Park where you can watch Japanese Macaques swim
