Pension La Foret is located in Yatugatake-Chuo-Kogen,which means
Central Highland of Mt. Yatugatake, at height of 4,300 ft.
"La Foret" means "the forest" in French.
Pension La Foret is surrounded by forest of larch trees and white briches.
The forest favors all of living things in it such as amimals, birds, insects etc.
The highland is always filled by charm of nature.
- In spring and early summer, many kind of flowers and fresh green leaves,
- In summer, cool atmospere,
- In autumn, a lot of trees turns red and yellow,
- In winter, bird watching and winter sports, etc.
Of course, you can idle away your holidays !
In Japan, there are about 3,000 "Pension". Pension is similar to B&B in U.K., however,
some of them are almost hotel except for number of guest rooms.
Basically Pension offers minimam physical service to the guests. For example, many Pensions don't supply any amenity goods such as towels, shaver, bathrobe and night clothes. ( Nearly all of hotels supplys night clothes in Japan. )
We don't supply any amenity goods, also.
Additionally, the facilities of Pension are poorer than many hotels.
Many Pensions are proude of their heartful service. Probably 99 % of Pensions are managed by families.
Many frequenters of Pensions feel the staves as friends, and they feel the Pension as their villa. Sometimes they talk about their hobby, life style etc.
The attraction of Pension is not only inexpensiveness but also heartful communication between guests and staves.
Guest room :
10 guest rooms. 2 or 3 beds in a room. All rooms are western style.
( 4 rooms with bath and toilet. 6 rooms without bath and toilet.)
2 bath rooms (japanese style) and 2 toilets are shared by guests.
Floor heating and telephone are installed for all rooms.

Dining room :
Comfortable communication space. Open until 11 p.m.
Some formula-1 goods such as model cars, pistons, connecting rods and engine head cover are displayed in the corner.

Terrace:
That is one of the pleasure in summer season to have a cup of coffee in the terrace.
You will be accompanyed by the breeze of highland and warbling birds.
Barbecue dinner can be served, if you want. ( For group of 10 to 25 persons. Previous booking required. Additional charge 2,000 Yen per parson. )
Playground for kids:
Sandbox, iron bars and swing for small kids.
We request the parent(s) to attend them.

Parking:
For 10 cars. 2 cars or some motor cycles can be parked under the terrace.
Checkin : 3 p.m. , Checkout : 10 a.m.
Dinner : 6 p.m. , Breakfast : 8 a.m.
We may change time, if you want. Please ask us.
Western course dinner
Based on french dishes, but arranged for japanese taste.
The course includes soup, salad, fish, meat and desssert dishes.
We love at home atmosphere, so that we slight showy decoration.
If you feel as if you are sitting at welcome dinner in a country home of France, It will be a great pleasure for us.
Followings are menu of a day.....
- Corn cream soup
- Cod saute with green pease sauce
- Sirloin steak with japanese sauce
- Salad of highland vegetables
- Apple and strawbery for dessert
We usually serve a dish of boiled rice. If you prefer bread instead of boiled rice, please inform us previously.

- Barbecue dinner : for a group of 10 to 25 persons. Only in summer season. Charges 2,000 Yen per person additionally.
- Party dishes : We may arrange party dishes according to your budget and taste.
- Odered dishes : Our proud relishes with wine, beer, whisky and japanese sake.....
- Roast wild duck : Fragrace of roasted skin of wild duck....
- Lettuce wrap : Wrapping breaded pork and fried chicken with hot souce....
The charges shown below are per person.
We don't request the excise and service fee.

- If you reserve by e-mail, 300 Yen off per guest, per night.
- In case of 2 or more nights stay, 300 Yen off per guest, per night.
- In case of a group over 15 guests, special discount will be applied.
The discount is applied only for adults and children over 4 years old.
