To Toru Mori and his family:
I want to send my support and my deepest sympathy to those who are family and friends of Toru.
What we lost is part of selves.
I want to tell you about how Toru was away from home and with our team.
Giving,Supportive,and Caring.
I hope that I can some day teach to other's what he has taught to me. I saw sameone with the power to focus on his skiing and still had the kindness to help the others on our team. He was as happy for others successes as if it was his own.
Today we spent the day in Canada enjoying the good memories of Toru's commitment to skiing and how beautiful he made it.
I know how proud he was of his family and town and that he really wanted to win the World Championships for both.
I think that he won more by sharing with the world what great people you are and that kindness is still available in some place in the world.
I am so proud to be the coach of Toru.
Having him at the Olympics gave me power and the confidence by just the couple words he shared with me before.
"We did everything we could,we did it right"
Toru was an example for us.
