Depending on the connection plan, avis provides at least 20 MB of free webspace for its users. You may create your personnal website in the specified free webspace.
Important notes on creating a website:
- file
names and folder
names must be
written in alpanumeric
characters.
- file
names and folder
names are case
sensitive when
uploaded to the
web server.
- no
special characters
(e.g. '*',
'/', '#', '%',
'&', '!',
space & etc.)
are allowed
in your file
names and folder
names.
- the
first page
is preferrably
to be named
as index.html or index.htm.
Use any FTP client software to upload your home page files to the web server.
Important notes:
- all
home page files
must be uploaded
into a directory
(or folder) called
'homepage'.
You may browse your home page after uploading files to the web server.
Type in your home page URL as shown below on a browser:

Note: your FTPloginID is similar to your e-mail account.
For instance, if the WWW server name is 'www.avis.ne.jp' and the FTPloginID is 'densan', the home page URL will be,
http://www.avis.ne.jp/~densan/
A sign called tilde ( ~ ) is necessary in front of FTPloginID.
This URL is valid only if you named your top page as
'index.html' or 'index.htm'.
If you named your top page as 'top.html' or 'Welcome.html' &etc., you
have to specify your top page file name after the last slash.
