Happo Lodge is located in the Olympic village of Hakuba, high in the picturesque Japan Alps of Nagano Prefecture. The lodge is situated perfectly just 1 minute walk from the Happo One ski field gondola.


Information

Happo Lodge is a combination of modern Western syle and traditional Japanese style rooms (washitsu).

Western style rooms include bath, shower and toilet. All rooms Western and Japanese style include a television , telephoneand heater.

After a hard day on the slopes relax in the message chair, or try a soothing sauna and Japanese stlye bath. l

Food

Happo Lodge can cater for everyones needs, from traditional Japanese food to more common Western style dishes.

Price

Accommodation starts from Y7,000 (approx. US$ 50) per night and includes breakfast and an evening meal.

How to get here

By train, take the JR Ooto line to Hakuba Station. From there is is justa five minute taxi ride. Alternatively you can catch a bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano City, then transfer onto a bus for Hakuba. There are also a number of tourist buses departing every day from Tokyo, Nagoya, Oosaka and other areas heading for Hakuba.

For those who wish to come by car;

-from Tokyo take the Kanetsu Expressway until the Fujioka Junction where you change to the Joetsu Expressway and continue until Koshoku. You can receive a map at the toll gate with directions to Hakuba via the Olympic Highway. (Approx. 4hrs)

-from Nagoya and other Southern regions take the Chuo Expressway and exit at Toyoshina. From there you can take either route 147 or 148 to Hakuba. (Approx. 3 1/2hrs from Nagoya)A map should be available at the Toyoshino exit.

A free car park is available for those customers who come by car.

Bookings can be made by phone or fax. There are foreign English speaking staff (New Zealanders) for those who do not speak Japanese. If you have any inquireis do not hesitete to call.
